Make a Difference in Your Community 

Southeast District Health Department is building a team of dedicated volunteers who are ready to step up when it matters most. Whether during public health emergencies, natural disasters, community events, or preparedness activities, our volunteers play a vital role in keeping our communities safe and supported. 

You do not need to be a medical expert to join—just a willingness to help. We welcome medical and non-medical volunteers of all backgrounds.

What Volunteers May Do 
Volunteer roles can vary but may include: 
  • Assisting during health emergencies or community response efforts 
  • Supporting vaccination or testing clinics 
  • Helping with community outreach and education 
  • Assisting at emergency shelters or resource centers 
  • Participating in emergency preparedness drills and exercises 
  • Providing administrative or logistical support during events
